Experience
I earned my bachelor's degree in History and French from Wittenberg University. I've actually been studying French for more than 13 years, part of which I spent in France during high school and again in college. While in France, I had the opportunity to converse daily with French people, which really helped me learn to be fluent in the language. I have a certification in France that allows me to be a teacher in the country. During my internship with a history professor at MIT, I did field work in France for her. Needless to say, my main tutoring subject is French. That's not to say I can't tutor in other topics, because I can, especially in history. I can also tutor students in gifted programs, special education programs, and in general study skills such as time management and organization. I have experience successfully tutoring students both in France and the US, in history and French. I have enough tutoring experience to have learned that each student requires an individualized approach, and I have discovered many techniques and methods that fit different students. In my free time, I like reading, traveling, and playing video, board, and card games.
